The Tryp Habana Libre in Havana was a great hotel that is kind of central to everything. My only problem with the hotel was that we had to change rooms 4 times until we found one where the air-conditioning worked well. Fortunately we did this before we unpacked so it was more inconvenient foe the poor bellman who was kind enough to lug our luggage back and forth.

I went to Paradisus Rio De Oro in Holguin Cuba for a one week vacation. It was truly like a paradise. I wasn’t too crazy about having to have such a long ride (45 minutes) from the airport to the hotel but I really ended up liking the ride. It was peaceful and beautiful and a very comfortable bus. We had a great tour guide that made it fun and interesting.

Well where should I begin…FUN FUN AND MORE FUN I went to Sol Sirenas Coral in Varadero with a girlfriend who was a lot of fun. We suntanned on the beautiful beach all day and took a dunk in the refreshing pool before taking an afternoon nap that would give us the energy to go out and enjoy the Varadero nightlife.

I did it I had my first trip to Varadero Cuba. Cuba was one of the places in world I had absolutely no desire to travel to. I really don’t know why I guess because of the politics over the years I always thought that if I were going to go to the Caribbean that there were so many other beautiful places to go to.
