Dolphin Center - Cienfuegos

Botanical Garden
Located outside Cienfuegos city, it was declared National Monument. It covers 97 hectares and seven of them are for reserved natural forest. There are over 2 000 species of plants, which represent 670 different types of such plants and 125 families; they are mostly trees. Around 70 % of the species in the Garden are exotic.

Jagua Castle
Located at the entrance of Cienfuegos bay, this fortress of Nuestra Señora de los Angeles de Jagua was finished in 1745. It is a solid component of the military architecture of the 18th century in Cuba.

Jose Marti Park
Located in what used to be Plaza de Armas, it has a city hall with its dome and the San Lorenzo school buildings next to it. There is also the huge “Terry” Theater, the Cathedral Church, and other valuable buildings with remarkable artistic and architectonic values.

Tomas Terry Theater
Located across from Jose Marti park, It was opened in 1890 thanks to the financial support of Don Tomas Terry, an important businessman of the city. It is a magnificent example of the golden times in Cienfuegos.

Valle Palace
Located in Punta Gorda, it is a unique example of the architectural eclecticism that prevailed in the city of Cienfuegos, where the Mudejar and Byzantine styles are mixed with the Venetian, Gothic and baroque ones.
